This Iceland Coin Ring is derived from an authentic 1974 Iceland 500 Kronur Silver Coin (Only 70,000 produced from Iceland's mint). This coin ring is a great statement piece to show your love and appreciation for Iceland and perhaps address your nostalgia for all its mythical scenery, waterfalls, northern lights, glaciers and enchantment that it has to offer! The effort I place in the ring is made to protect and transfer the details from the coin to the ring, using hand-made methods. I have personally produced your piece through holing the coin, pressing the coin to achieve a cone shape. Then using a Swedish wrap in order to ensure a parallel line amongst the ring to avoid a cone shape ring. The coin ring is sanded and then polished to give a beautiful natural fit for its intended user.

Please note that the material used in this coin ring is made of the original material used in the coin which is 90% silver. Since the coin is made of a precious metal there is no worry that its metal would turn your digits green and silver allergies are close to rare.

Some care taking Tips: Throughout the duration of the rings lifespan some tarnishing will naturally occur. This phenomenon does not discriminate and effects all precious metals.

1). Make sure to have a face towel or jewelry rag on standby..
-You will be using this alongside with a polisher to make the exterior portion of the ring shine like a new diamond.

2). Use a metal polisher or "Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish" (which is what I personally use).
-This will act as a polisher to bring shine to your coin ring.
-Apply some polisher to the jewelry rag or face towel and apply towards the metal with friction to remove any tarnish that occurs throughout the years.
-After you polish the interior and exterior part of your ring make sure to clean the black residue off with a baby wipe or with a wet paper towel.
